Week 10 - Day 48

Friday
What a gorgeous day! One sunny day in between the never ending rain forecast. They took advantage and put the facia for my deck in place.  The roofer can now do the 'torch on' for the roof and the deck so we will be waterproofed and then the tarp can come off.  Looking forward to that.  The shingles will need to wait for the nice weather, though.

Week 10 - Day 47

Thursday
Power vent for boiler still on hold. Not exactly duct tape, but close.

Week 10 - Day 47

Thursday
I only have the pictures to go by. Haven't been around so not sure, but they have my 'panic room' floor in.  Actually a storage area in behind the framed half wall.  The closet door in the front bedroom on the main is completed.  They continue to be busy here and there so I am sure there was more than that done.

Week 10 - Day 46

Wednesday
Well, not paying much attention the last couple of days.  Bad blogger.  I do remember that   Gabe came in a bit later, as he was saving lives in the middle of the night.  We had a little 'get updated' meeting with Will and went over a few things. At some point in the day Gabe worked on a door under the stairs, this will be a closet/storage area in the front bedroom.  Will worked on levelling the floor in the main floor kitchen. Oh, now I remember.  Somewhere along the way, the freezer got unplugged, not sure when, but it sure stinks when you open it up.  We didn't lose that much. A salmon, a bit of meat between the two of us and some old stuff that had to go anyway.  Not a tragedy, but makes for a story.

Week 10 - Day 45

Tuesday
Always smiling.

Week 10 - Day 45

Tuesday
Boiler gave them some grieve when putting it all back together.  Bad fitting, apparently, but I have faith.

Week 10 - Day 45

Tuesday
Two joists are to go to the left of the one that is in this picture, right above the boiler. But they got it done. Will never really answered when I asked if he felt a sense of accomplishment.

Week 10 - Day 45

Tuesday
Down to the last 3 joists and the point loading is done. These are the ones with the most in the way.  The heating system was drained in order for various pipes to be cut away. This one had a radiator right above it, so that is now been disconnected and put aside.

Week 10 - Day 44

Monday
Weekend flew by, not sure what I did, but nothing around the house.  Monday morning Will came in with 3 super duper joists to put on the main floor. This is the alternate plan from the engineer to avoid tearing up the basement bathroom. Would have been a pain all around, for them and us.

Now you see him, now you don't.

I thought this was quite clever at the time, but couldn't remember how to get it to work until it came to me in a flash.
