Week 36

Linda started to tackle her kitchen this week.  How hard can it be. Step 1.  Put all the boxes together.  Will made his kick ass kick bases earlier in the week, so she is off and running.

Week 36

We moved up Linda's kitchen boxes up from the basement this week and now when I go back to the basement I can't believe I slept down there for as long as I did.  Don't know how I did it.  OMG!  So nice upstairs!

Week 36

Week 35 slipped passed me and I have no pictures from that week so I guess nothing happened.  We are now in the week of June 19 - 26th. Work is still going on in my kitchen and I am coping well in my little corner, all the mess on one side and me on the other.
Loving the skylight over my bed.  I wake up in the morning and wonder what the weather is and I just look up!  Due to all those years of working night shift I can sleep anytime.  The light doesn't bother me a bit, besides the sun doesn't come directly in. I see the clouds, the birds flying by, the airplanes and occasionally Lulu walking on the roof. The first time that took me by surprise.

Week 34

Aaaah, my deck! The weather has finally warmed up and I have a place to go other than spending all my time in bed. Still haven't decided on the surface yet.  One of the last things I need to decide on and I am waffling back and forth.

Week 34

Kitchen coming together.

Week 34

Lulu is VERY pleased to be back home.

Week 34

The big day has come.  I am moving upstairs regardless of what anybody says.  Had some cleanup to do up and with some assistance from Randy and Gary had my mattress moved up.  Linda and Bill wired up the TV and phone connection and I am VERY pleased to be out of the basement.

Week 34

My kitchen is coming together!  Will isn't impressed with the grey gloss cabinets from Ikea, and I suppose knowing what I know now I wouldn't go for them either.  I like the look of them still, the problems is in the difficulty of installing them due to the material. They are difficult to cut without chipping, unable to find edge banding that match.  Will has gone a big hunt, talking to Ikea, and cabinet gurus that he knows. Thank goodness I had him install them.
