We reached a turning point today. Deconstruction vs reconstruction. The roofers came to do the torch-on for the upstairs deck. They added a drain in the middle which goes into the ceiling of the main floor kitchen, and this will be directed outside somehow in the future. Per code there is also a scupper drain for overflow which exits out the side of the house. Quite a serious torch they had, too.
